Our Christmas worship series, "The Gifts of Christmas" continues on Sunday, December 4th, at 10:30 a.m. with "The Gift of Patience" with the singing of our Christmas cantata, "Night of the Father's Love," offered by the Chance Choir. Worship will be followed by a bake sale to raise funds for scholarships for the children's summer camp.
December 11th the series will continue with "The Gift of Hope," from 1 peter 1:1-9. Special music will be "Joy to the World" by the Note-A-Bells. The annual church Christmas Dinner will be held at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Sunday School Christmas Pageant, "A Lamb's Tale: A Musical for Kids" at 6:30 p.m.
December 18th, the Sunday School will be holding their Christmas Party at 9:00 a.m. At 10:30 a.m. our Christmas worship series, continues with "The Gift Among us," from John 1:1-5, 14-18, with special music from the Chancel Choir. A special Joy Offering collection will be taken during worship.
December 24th, we will be holding a Candlelight communion Service, "The Gift of Joy," at 7:00 p.m. with the Chancel Choir singing and the Handbell Quartet playing, "Sing We Now of Christmas." A special Joy Offering collection will be taken during this worship service.
Note that there will be NO Worship Service on Sunday, December 25th. We urge those of you who are seeking to worship on Christmas morning to visit one of our sister churches here in La Junta.
The 8th-12th Grade Youth Group is meeting on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. They will take a break on December 22nd and 29th.
Small Groups are going strong. The Casa del Sol group meets on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. The Men’s Group continues to meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and the Women's Group meets at Noon on Fridays at the Barista.
