Worship at First Presbyterian Church Join us in worship of God Sunday mornings at 10:30 where we strive to offer a dynamic, transforming experience of God. Our music blends contemporary praise music with classic hymns. Our pastor’s messages are upbeat and relevant. We celebrate the Lord’s supper on the first Sunday of every month, as well as Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve. The sacrament of baptism is celebrated for adults, as well as infants and children, upon request.

The season of Lent is a season that calls for our special attention, as we prepare to remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In preparation... We prepare for the season of Lent on Sunday, February 14, by renewing our vows of baptism in our Service of Renewal of Baptism. Our Chancel Choir will sing “Let the Children Come” and the kids from God’s House will sing “Wherever Love Is. The season begins February 21, as we welcome Dr. Jim Smith of Pueblo to speak about his ongoing medical mission to Haiti and his recent trip in the aftermath of the January 12 earthquake. Our handbell choir will play “It Is Well With My Soul.” The community is invited for worship and a soup lunch to immediately follow worship. A free will offering will be accepted. On February 28, our journey with Christ to the cross takes us into the wilderness to experience Jesus’ temptation from Luke 4:1-13. Worship will include an adaptation of “Beneath the Desert Sun,” a reader’s theatre piece by Jose Ignacio and Maria Lopez Vigil and the Chancel Choir will sing.
