Youth and Children
Nursery
Our professionally staffed nursery is open during adult education programs and worship. Infants and toddlers from birth through age 5 are welcome.
During the Sunday School hour at 9:00 a.m. there is a lesson that features a fun welcoming activity, an active Bible story, songs, a snack, and a craft that also has take-home questions and activities on the back so that learning can continue all week. This class is for our 3 and early 4 year olds.
God's House
Children aged pre-K through 6th grade visit “God’s House” every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., as they explore Bible stories and Christ-centered lessons throughout various workshops. Workshops include:
art
audiovisual

drama/storytelling
games & puzzles
music & worship
and a bonus workshop (cooking, science, missions, etc )
Vacation Bible School
Our church participates in the annual community-wide Vacation Bible School. For five nights, beginning Sunday night, kids gather for music, games, Bible study, and crafts.
During the summer months, our kids gather in our Computer Lab for Explorer Club. Explorer Club meets during our Worship time on Sundays. The kids start upstairs in the sanctuary and then go down to the computer lab after the Children's Message.
Christmas Program
Our children’s Christmas program will be held on Sunday, December 11th, with supper at 5:00 p.m. with ham, potataoes and drinks provided by the Fellowship Committee. Attendees are asked to bring their own table service and two side dishes for couples/families or one side dish for singles.
Our pageant will be held upstairs in the sanctuary again this year as we have outgrown the Fellowship Hall - no room in the Inn for the baby Jesus and not enough room in the Fellowship Hall for all of us. “A Lamb's Tale: A Musical for Kids” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. following the Christmas Dinner.
CTW High School Fellowship
High-school aged youth gather weekly on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. for fellowship and spiritual growth. Other events include a ski trip, parties, and service projects.
Summer Missions
A highlight of the year for our high school students is the summer mission trip. In recent years, youth and their adult mentorshave traveled to Dallas, TX, Albuquerque, NM, and the Osage Reservation in Oklahoma. In 2007, a group traveled to the Dominican Republic for a 10 day experience with Ministries in Action. Our mission team traveled to Arkansas in July of 2009 to work with the Youth Works organization again and had an awesome experience. In 2010 the youth traveled to St. Louis to help people in the inner city area and will work with youth from other states through the YouthWorks organization. In 2011 the youth traveled to Ft. Collins, Colorado, to participate in Group Works, "Week of Hope" camps in Ft. Collins where they spent three special days working with mentally and physically handicapped youth and adults at several sites.
Plans are currently being made for the 2012 mission trip to Joplin, Missouri, where rebuilding is underway after this past May's devastating tornado. More information will come soon.
